About Us
We are a small family operation selling fresh eggs out of our home. Our free-range chickens forage 10 acres by day and roost in insulated coops at night. Only our best eggs are chosen for sale.

The Bemis Farm Fresh Eggs Family
Bemis Farm Fresh Eggs is run by Scott, Deb, Cael and Ethan Bemis. They get a lot of help from Scott’s mom, Abby Bemis, who, it turns out, is an excellent sales person. She is pretty handy with a paint brush too.
They have lived Southeast of Norwalk, IA since 1999, but got started in the egg business in 2020, when Scott said, “I think I want to get a few of chickens. It will be fun.”
What started as a hobby has turned into a growing family business. Scott and his sons Cael and Ethan have been building coops and working on turning the garden into a haven for chickens. Deb often collects the last eggs of the day, performs a chicken bed check, and locks up to keep the predators out.

Scott Bemis – The egg man
Scott washes and packages the eggs, takes customer orders, and is responsible for marketing and deliveries. “I love getting the final product to our customers”, Scott says, “Getting to know our customers is my favorite part of the business.”
